Its an extra bonus when your liquor bottles also serve as decor for your home bar. While many containers are artwork in themselves or along with other packaging details, very few of these vessels serve as an artist’s canvas for a painting.
The new “Day of the Dead” tequila bottle designs from KAH are all decoratively hand painted works of art. They are said to be inspired by the Calaveras ( Spanish word for ‘skulls’ ) used in celebration gatherings to honor friends and family who have died.
“The Reposado, shown in the red / tan, is described as both ultra smooth and high-proof, with hints of vanilla and caramel after being aged for 10 months in French limousine casks. The Blanco features sweet notes of cooked agave with a spicy white pepper finish, while the Anejo is all about coffee, chocolate, and tobacco flavors.” ~ luxist
The distinctive artwork featured on the different tequilas could be a prominently displayed bar bottle collection as part of a southwestern home motive or rotated to support party themes like Day of the Dead, Cinco de Mayo or Halloween. A nice complement to these haunted spirits would be adding Crystal Head Vodka’s glass human skull to the macabre mix.
